Well I guess we should have a place to welcome new players. Please pull up a chair and tell everyone (yeah like there are a lot of us right now) a little about yourselves.

Me first I guess.

I'm married and in my early thirties. We have kids, dogs, and what not. Love being outside, hunting, fishing, shooting, reloading, metalworking, woodworking. I am interested in both urban, and rural survival. Practice the primitive skills, and love teaching my boys the same. Im a former Marine turned Roughneck.

Not really too much to me. Im not deep, or anything like that.

I'm the motorhand on his rig. A little bout me? Well I too am a former Marine, but I only did four years and got out. Got a couple deployments to Iraq and thats it. I'm single and have a small apartment. There really isnt too much to me.

I'm not a former Marine, I'm married and I'm a mom and have alot of varied interests. The big one besides enjoying being with my family , is writing. Its something I enjoy doing. My other interests go anywhere from science, reading, camping, dancing, working on survival skills, working on my house hoping to get it ship shape, and getting it off the grid to where it is green instead of tapping into the normal electricity. I like doing research on different things just to gain more knowlege, and better myself.

Well, I know Matt from another RP, which was completely a different scenario from this one, but I'll give it a shot.

About me:

My name is Tim, I'm 44 years old, married for working on 21 years. 2 kids, 1 in college and one still in high school.

I too am an old Marine. I spent 5 years in the Corps and 12 1/2 years in the Army National Guard. (I never let them Army boys forget I'm a Marine!)

I'm medically retired from the service and in the past couple years, I've also become disabled and had to quite my job that I liked a lot due to severe glaucoma getting most of my eyesight. Glaucoma is what retired me from the Guard, but I worked my civilian job as long as possible, until it became unsafe for me to work and I feared I would get killed or injured or kill or injure someone else performing my duties.

I'm still upright and mobile and thats the main thing.

It will take me a bit to get my profile in order and get a suitable pic up. I've always put a lot of myself in my profiles, so it is not too bad to work out.

I look forward to the RP here with all of you.

Don't worry too much about getting into it. Things are about to slow down. Both Snuggles and I work on the same rig, and we have to go back on days on this Wen evening. Unless this site is blocked at the mancamp we should be able to post. But it will only be one or two posts a day.

I'm going to use my being up at work to take advantage of posting mostly alone for a while. I have one little thing to do in Paul's thread with Rachel, then Im going to start posting tidbits and the happenings around the world, and advance the timeline.

That doesn't mean that you're posts have to keep pace with mine. Have fun in your threads, and explain what is happening to your character's life during this whole thing.
