Thank you for the welcome. Just please don't take offense. My character tends to make people want to beat her.

Re: The welcome thread
Thank you for the warning *winks* I'll take it in stride. just don't take offense if, IF Rachel decides to smear her with mud. That is, if things reach a boiling point *laughs* I realy can't tell you how my character will act and I won't be going on player knowlege either, ( from reading the posts you make) In any case, I'm an experienced table top roleplayer and have played some contentious characters in my day.

Re: The welcome thread
I haven't ever heard of table top. Sorry. Ive done some email RPing though.
I fully expect Jean to get some sense smacked into her. If that happens, it will be the first fight she has ever been in.

Welcome aboard! Always glad to RP with interesting new people and characters.
I don't take any offense from player characters though my character sometimes does.

I can imagine. From what I have read of your character. He and Jeanne are going to want to kill each other.
She is one of the most far left liberal talk show hosts out there. I can imagine that anyone that listens to political talk will know who she is at the sound of her voice.

Heh. Yeah Max probably won't get along with her at all!
He wouldn't hit a woman, unless she wanted to fight like a man, but he may be tempted to blow her head off!

Welcomes to the Jack Burton and Skye characters! I look forward to RP;ing with you all when I get back from vacation.
Well, gotta hit the sack, gotta get up early to go to Nashville to catch our flight out.
See you all in a week!

Skye is just me, Audie, in a different skin. Jack's writer is a friend, and a great RP-er!

Cool. I kind of figured that was the case from reading your earlier PM to me, but I figured I would cover my bases and make the welcomes before I left out on vacation.
Interesting that your character is in Kuttawa, KY, that is not far from me in real life. I've been there fairly often in real life.

LOL! It was a random choice. And we can certainly find a way to hook up along the way. How long will the play take?

Final performance is May 22, so I have several weeks left of rehersals and performances.
As the play gets closer and the tempo of rehersals pick up, I will be posting pretty spotty.

Re: The welcome thread
Hi everyone!
Looks like I came late to the party, but what the hell!
My real name's Mark, and yes, I'm a guy playing a woman - don't look at me like that!
I'm from the UK, as is my character, which is a great get-out clause if I myself am ignorant of any part of US culture - I can say I'm just playing 'in character'! I've done online RPGing for about five or six years or so, and pencil-and-paper waaay back - thirty years or so! Yep, that dates me, doesn't it?
Anyway, looking forward to playing with you all, and if you're wondering why my character is into dinosaurs and marine reptiles like plesiosaurs - it's because I am!

Welcome
And I don't see any problem with a guy playing a female, my husband does. So no crossed eyes over here. And I play a male on another site.

Re: The welcome thread
Aaahh, but you obviously don't play on the Star Trek BBs where I do. Play a Romulan, a Klingon, an ex-Borg or whatever and it's 'cool character!', but be a man playing a woman and it's 'ooh, that's a bit ... weird ...', as if it's somehow odder to play the opposite sex than playing an alien!
Anyway, rant over! I'll start working on my first post, so it's ready to go when I finally get my bio accepted. Looking forward to playing!
