Man, I am just getting over that 24 hour virus thats going around. I've been nearly unconscious the last day or so from regular doses of Dayquil and Nyquil.

I feel like I had the plague from the RP!

The ironic part of me gettin g sick is that I was probably exposed to it during my visit to the doctors office on Thursday, where the waiting room was full of people coughing and sneezing.

Ironic is right. The only time I ever get sick is when I go to the doctor for a checkup. Though I don't have kids, I live by myself, I don't have a girlfried, and very few friends. I guess I am kind of a hermet.

That sucks man. Rest up and get better.

That's why I avoid going to doctors.

Well, I spoke too soon. Round 2 hit me this afternoon and I still feel like hell.

I wish I didn't have to go to the doctor, but unfortunately I got to to keep my blood pressure in check to help control my glaucoma.

Fortunately, my kids have not brought any sickness home lately.

That sucks man. Get better soon.

That flu is not fun. I had it and definitely felt like I was part of the Plague storyline too lol. I got better though. It lasted longer than 24 hours for me. It was about 3 days.

Yeah, round 2 lasted until ....well....I'm feeling better now, but still not 100%.

Had several days of feeling pretty rough. Good thing is that so far I was the only one who got sick in the family, hopefully it will stay that way.

You people need to stop talking about being sick. I read up on these posts yesterday after I got home, and now IM SICK!

Well, I finally got out of the house today. Felt good to get out and about!

Jeez, Folks! I am thinking about building an Ark! Storms still continue to roll through daily and drop heavy rain. I believe we have already exceeded 20-24 inches of rain in the last several days.

I am glad my county doesn't border on the Ohio or Mississippi rivers, as massive flooding and FORCED evacuations are underway.

Tonight, the Army Corps of Engineers blew up a 2 mile section of the levee close to Thebes and Cairo, IL. They are going to blow another section....well about now 01:15 CST and another section about 08:00 in the morning. This is being done to flood about 182,000 acres of farm land (along with the associated farm homes) to ease pressures on other levees that are threatening to be overtopped or breached, thus destroying several entire riverside cities/town. They are predicitng worse flooding than the Flood of 1937 and the flooding has already exceeded the Flood of 1997. (I filled about a jillion sandbags and built up levees as well as evacuating lots of folks during that one)

Parts of my county is affected by flooding as we've had so much rain and the backside of our farm is like a lake at the moment as we live next to the area Watershed. (flood control, man made lake and levee) We are in no danger of getting water in the house as we are on high ground, but we can get cut off by high water in the creeks that flow out of the watershed.

The North part of the county (I live in the South end) also has severe flooding as the Clarks river runs into the Ohio and has no where to go with the Ohio so high, so the clarks river is backing up, flooding farms, closing roads and cutting off entire communitys from the outside world.

We are looking at probably one more day of heavy rain and storms before we get any kind of break, then more rain later on.

It has been pretty bad around here of late.

I have some sad news for you folks here.

Snuggles. The person playing Kendal, will be gone for a while. Maybe indefinitly. He had an incident at work, and got his hand caught between the threads on a stand of pipe. It was completely removed. He said that he would like to come back. But it will be a long recovery and they were unable to save the hand. He did say that if we want we can keep Kendal's daughter, but leave him out of any IC play for now.

Damn man. I know words ain't all that great in times like this, and I really don't know what to say, but give him my best and a Semper Fi.

That's just..horrific. I hope things work out somehow good for him, and hope he gets to join us again in the future.

I sent him your best Tim. Guess its kinda like in the Corps where if your higher is messed up, youre gonna get messed up. He is doing ok, the pain is manageable. But still sucks. Im ambidextrous. So I use both my hands for everything. I couldn't imagine not being able to use one of em.

Yeah, of course I've mentioned having to retrain myself to shoot left handed as my right eye got worse, but I still do most things right handed. I can't imagine losing my right hand and having to learn to do everything left handed.

Let him know I'm thinking about him when you talk to him again.


On a lighter note, we had our opening performance Friday night and our second one tonight. So far it is going well. Not any major line flubs that the audience would notice and very few tech issues.

Well, tonight is our final rehersal between shows and this Friday, Saturday and Sunday are our final shows.

Hopefully, I can get back into the RP on Monday or Tuesday.

I reckon from the story you all are still ahead of me and have already gotten into Jacks home town of Fairfield, Iowa.

I've still got to get into Iowa, which I should do tomorrow evening if the wife and I get back from Vanderbilt early enough. I've got to link Max up with his daughter (though I am still debating with myself how thats going to go).

Max will work the area between Fairfield and South of Burlington Iowa, if you all are going that way. (Course I reckon the Farm is supposed to be South of Burlington anyway.)

Talk with Jack and see what ideas he has and let me know.

Edit: Though of course, in actuality Max could be ahead of you all and I when the stories come together it could seem as though Max arrived in Iowa before you all.
